What Does The Bible Say About Trials?
How do you react when you face trials and tribulations? Do you give up or do you turn to God and the Bible? Before I became a christian I would just throw in the towel and give up. I would either turn to my eating disorder, the drugs, or maybe cutting as a way of coping. I would do whatever I could to numb myself. I hated 'feeling'. Emotions became foreign to me, and whenever I did notice that something such as fear, frustration, or anger were beginning to surface, I would quickly go to any extreme to make it go away.
But then I found God and became a christian. I gave all that stuff over to Him. I don't need drugs, food, alcohol, or razor blades to help me cope. I now use the Bible.
Trials are something we all will face as human beings, even christians, so I'm learning how to get through them now by keeping the faith and praying. It is easier said than done, that's for sure. We can SAY that we just need to pray to find our way through the tough times, but it is still going to be hard.
Think of every awful thing that happened in your life. Every single instance was painful and maybe you are still not "over it." What can make a difference is praying to God for wisdom, for healing and for love. No matter what hardships you are facing, remember that God loves you. He gave up his only Son for you! So pray for grace and pray for strength - each one of us can make it through each one of our trials, we just need to be strong.
With God, all things are possible. This is an important fact to remember. If you want to learn more about making it through your worldly trials, read the Bible verses below. They may help. And watch the video, because God really does love you!
